The small island of Ascension, a British possession in the very middle of the Atlantic Ocean, is repeated five times here, resembling a beautiful flower. The green area of each “petal” corresponds to Green Mountain, the only hill on the otherwise Mars-like island tall enough to have a fair amount of rainfall and thick vegetation.
